Good to know
Float times
Latex balloons float for around 8–12 hours; foil balloons keep floating for days or even weeks.
Small balloons
5" latex balloons don't hold enough helium to float, and 9" balloons may struggle with ribbon and a weight attached.
Why the 15% buffer?
Temperature, over-inflation and the odd mistake all use extra gas. The buffer means you won't run out mid-event.
Hire vs disposable
Hire cylinders give you more helium per pound if you can collect from a depot. Disposables are lighter with nothing to return.
