Helium Cylinder User Guide

Getting Started

Follow these steps to safely and effectively use your helium cylinder.

Step 1: Inspect Your Cylinder

  • Check for any visible damage
  • Ensure the valve is in good condition
  • Verify you have the correct regulator attachment

Step 2: Attach the Regulator

  • Remove the valve cap from the cylinder
  • Thread the regulator onto the valve clockwise
  • Hand-tighten firmly - do not use tools
  • Check for any hissing sounds indicating leaks

Step 3: Inflating Balloons

  • Stretch the balloon before inflating
  • Place the balloon neck over the inflation nozzle
  • Press the balloon against the nozzle to release helium
  • Fill until the balloon is round but not over-inflated
  • Tie off the balloon immediately after removing from nozzle

Step 4: Finishing Up

  • Close the valve firmly when finished
  • Remove the regulator and replace the valve cap
  • Store the cylinder upright in a safe location

Tips for Best Results

  • Use Hi-Float to extend balloon float time
  • Don't over-inflate - balloons should give slightly when squeezed
  • Fill balloons close to event time for best float duration
  • Store inflated balloons away from heat and sharp objects
